Why I do this work
I chose Family Medicine because I wanted to care for the whole person not a single complaint, but the entire life in front of me, and the years of health we can build together.
Too often, medicine moves quickly. Visits get short, and patients can leave feeling like they weren't really heard. I never wanted to practice that way. From the beginning, my goal has been to make sure every person who sits across from me feels understood and supported that they leave knowing exactly what's going on and what we're doing about it.
That belief is even more important as we get older, when health becomes more complex and the relationship with your doctor matters most. I see my role as a partner: someone who knows your history, understands your goals, and walks alongside you toward them.
That's the kind of care I set out to give and the promise I make to every patient.
The foundation behind your care
I'm a Family Medicine physician, trained in Chicago, with a practice built on comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults. Family Medicine gave me the broad foundation to care for the whole person to look beyond any single condition and understand how everything in your health connects.
Over the years I've developed a special interest in preventive medicine and geriatrics, with extensive experience caring for older adults and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and other complex medical needs. I believe the best care is both personal and grounded in solid evidence. It's explained in plain language you can actually use.
Caring for a diverse community is something I take real pride in. Being fluent in both English and Arabic means many of my patients and their families can speak with me comfortably in the language they know best.
What I believe about your care
Every doctor has a philosophy, whether they say it out loud or not. Here is mine the principles that shape every visit, every decision, and every conversation we'll have together.
- 1I believe care is a partnership.Your health is something we work on together. I take the time to understand your goals, then build a plan around the life you actually want to live.
- 2I believe in preventing problems, not just treating them.Preventive medicine is at the heart of how I practice: catching issues early, staying ahead of chronic conditions, and helping you stay well for the long run.
- 3I believe care should be personal and evidence-based.No two patients are the same. I tailor every plan to you, drawing on the best available evidence so your care is both individual and sound.
- 4I believe every patient deserves to feel heard. You should never leave a visit confused or rushed. I want you to feel understood and supported, and to know I'm in your corner.
